1. All submissions should be typed, 12-point font, double-spaced with a minimum 1” margin.
  2. You are welcome to submit up to five poems per submission. Each poem should not exceed 100 lines.
  3. In the top left corner of the first page please include your name, home address, home phone number, name of the school you attend, your age and grade level, and an email address where you can be reached.
  4. We do not accept previously published work. This includes work published online.
  5. Simultaneous submissions are accepted. Please let us know immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.
  6. Please do not re-submit previous material unless expressly asked to do so by an editor.
  7. Please include a short bio on each submission. Tell us about yourself and where you live. For example: Sara Smith is in tenth grade and lives to write poetry. When not writing, she can be found publishing her stories to Wattpad or on the basketball court at Ionia High School where she is a sophomore.
  8. In addition to our seasonal print issue, we frequently post student submissions on our website. You will be notified if your work is accepted online.
  9. We will send notice by email regarding the acceptance or rejection of your material for either online publication or publication within the next print edition of our magazine within three months of your submission.
  10. Poetry has a rolling submission period; if your work is being held for consideration for a future issue, you will be notified.
We use Submittable to accept and review our submissions.
