MIteen Writers is both an online and print literary magazine that showcases the voices of teen writers in the mitten state of Michigan. We accept writing from students ages 13-18 who currently live in Michigan. Please follow these guidelines for submitting material.

- Poetry (no longer than 100 lines)
- Short stories (no longer than 5,000 words)
- Nonfiction essays (no longer than 2,500 words)
- Original artwork and photography
When submitting, be sure:
- All submissions are typed, 12-point font, with a minimum 1” margin
- The correct information has been included on the top left corner of the first page. Please include your name, home address, home phone number, name of the school you attend, your age and grade level, and an email address where you can be reached.
- You have not submitted work that has been previously published. This includes work published online.
- You do not re-submit previous material unless expressly asked to do so by an editor.
- You have included a short bio on each submission. Tell us about yourself and where you live. For example: Sara Smith is in tenth grade and lives to write stories. When not writing, she can be found on the basketball court at Ionia High School where she is a sophomore.
